Prairie Pointe Apartments
Owned by Black Hawk College East Foundation and operated by Bluffstone, LLC. Students may lease an apartment at Prairie Pointe Apartments only if they are enrolled as full-time students for 12 or more semester hours during the fall and spring semesters. Summer tenancy is available by request. Verification of enrollment at Black Hawk College is required.
Prairie Pointe Apartments accommodate two or four students, and include a full kitchen complete with sink, stove and full-size refrigerator, a completely furnished living room, a bathroom with shower and closets. Additional amenities such as air conditioning, utilities, wireless internet service and satellite television are also included.
The four-student design includes two bedrooms with beds that may be bunked or non-bunked and a vanity in each bedroom. The two-student apartments feature private bedrooms for each resident.
Amenities, Features and Facilities
Amenities
Laundry facilities, vending machines, mail services and building property manager office are located in the adjacent service building. Food service is available on campus Monday through Friday (lunch only) along with a full array of vending machines.
Recreation
Students living in Prairie Pointe Apartments have access to the campus Fitness Center, library and computer lab as well as easy access to activities conducted at the campus throughout the year.
Safety and Security
The apartments and parking lots are well-lighted. Officers with the Black Hawk College Police Department are on duty and on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The apartments are equipped with a sprinkler system as well as smoke and carbon dioxide detectors.

Parking is available for residents of Prairie Pointe Apartments immediately adjacent to the apartments.

Rental Information
Several different lease arrangements and payment plans are available. Rental rates include gas, electric, water, sewer and trash removal as well as satellite television and wireless Internet service. Residents must pay for telephone service separately. A limited number of diesel truck hook-ups are also available at a fee, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
